Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sabastian Seistrup in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benjamin Pack prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Benjamin Pack made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kirk Powell in the 8th minute of play. When Drew Hardiman came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Halifax FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Drew Hardiman couldn't finish the play. Munroe Balaam received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Jacob Teuma tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Drew Hardiman blasted a shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jacob Teuma having to make a save. In the 17th minute of the match Douglas Paull sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Benjamin Pack skillfully saved the ball. Munroe Balaam was extremely unlucky when he, in the 19th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Halifax FC's Drew Hardiman got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Berny Norman hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Halifax FC's Rich Boothey got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Munroe Balaam sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hans Allcock kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Gulginni's defense didn't have a chance, in the 40th minute, when Munroe Balaam scored to the left of an out of position Jacob Teuma, making the score, 1-0. Kirk Powell recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Munroe Balaam made a kick off. Jacob Teuma took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Drew Hardiman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jacob Teuma showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Drew Hardiman, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sabastian Seistrup got free with Benjamin Pack in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Kirk Powell came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Gulginni fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kirk Powell couldn't finish the play. In the 65th match minute, Gulginni was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Tupman to maneuver through the defense. Drew Hardiman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 87 played minutes Kirk Powell rounded Halifax FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-1. Halifax FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Gulginni for a fine match.
