Woodhouselee's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anthony Andrews was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half Woodhouselee were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

With his leg Benjamin Pack managed to avoid a goal in the 52ndth minute, when Woodhouselee's Tobie Carragher fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Benjamin Pack made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tobie Carragher in the 57th minute. Drew Hardiman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edison Macumber having to interfere. After 67 minutes, Neville Fasey mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Halifax FC and the Woodhouselee players grew even worse after the yellow card. Tobie Carraghers short, quick shot in the 83rdth minute got Benjamin Pack to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 93 minutes into the match, Woodhouselee's Anthony Andrews sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Benjamin Pack narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Woodhouselee's Bishop Ambrose got a free kick in the 95th minute. In the 97th minute of the match Bran Gray shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Edison Macumber showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Woodhouselee played a much better game than Halifax FC and deserved their victory. The Halifax FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
