Pierre Warhurst's late challenge caught a Cheviot's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pierre Warhurst helped the player get up and apologised. In the 25th match minute, Brookdale was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pierre Warhurst to maneuver through the defense. Jervis Cowdell hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Cheviot's Davey Deal got control of the ball when Nelson Minter tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nelson Minter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. There was no doubt that Brookdale were the better team. Brookdale's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
