During the 28th minute of the match Birrell Rishton completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Birrell Rishton a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Birrell Rishton hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. In the 34th minute, Al Sparrow ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Max Unicomb was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cancun's goalkeeper Max Unicomb, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Max Unicomb took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Al Sparrow, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Abraham Schulze fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Archie Askew having to interfere. Al Sparrow sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Abraham Schulze made a kick off. In the 91st minute, Al Sparrow reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Max Unicomb. The goal made the score 0-4. In the 97th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cancun's goalkeeper Max Unicomb, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Albert Shire FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
