The Woodbury fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jared Hunter should have stopped the shot. Brent Tupman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jared Hunter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Darrell Cubitt, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jared Hunter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brent Tupman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jared Hunter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brent Tupman in the 41st minute of the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 44th minute of the game. One of Woodbury:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Bonegilla:s goal. The referee gave Bonegilla a penalty, 46 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Baxter Surman, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Woodbury's Jared Hunter. 0-5. The Woodbury players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Bonegilla were winning 0-5.
