After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Bleyd Hamilton managed to get in a good position for a shot. Inter Wodonga's supporters rose to their feet, but Bleyd Hamilton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Archie Askew breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 13th minute, Alex Kinsey got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alex Kinsey in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Archie Askew saved Albert Shire FC from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alex Kinsey in the 18th minute of play forced Albert Shire FC's goalkeeper Archie Askew to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Bleyd Hamilton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Albert Shire FC defense, Alex Kinsey kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Archie Askew. The Albert Shire FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Archie Askew should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Albert Shire FC's zone, Biggs Perandis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Archie Askew came out of the goal and Biggs Perandis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Inter Wodonga's Alex Kinsey in the 42nd minute got a chance for a shot 42nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Albert Shire FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 44thth minute of the game Alex Kinsey who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Albert Shire FC's Archie Askew was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alex Kinsey in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Archie Askew prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 56 minutes into the game, Connor Vaughan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Inter Wodonga's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Albert Shire FC the free kick. In the 59th play minute Alex Kinsey came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Archie Askew. 0-3. In the 62nd match minute, Albert Shire FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Al Sparrow to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Art Hollingworth during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Albert Shire FC getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Art Hollingworth hit a great ball. Archie Askew stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alex Kinsey's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. Alex Kinseys short, quick shot in the 82ndth minute got Archie Askew to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Danny Devere showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Al Sparrow in the 86th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Inter Wodonga's Alex Kinsey slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Archie Askew. That made the score 0-4 after 87 minutes of play. A hard shot 91 in the game by Alex Kinsey from a close distance when the talented Archie Askew managed to make a qualified save. Albert Shire FC's players were relieved. Alex Kinsey in the 93rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Archie Askew, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Inter Wodonga's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
