Walgett's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Inter Wodonga the free kick. After a rather tough play, Walgett's Lucas Bailey got a free kick in the 3rd minute. 4 minutes into the match, Walgett's goalkeeper Al Fieldhouse had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alex Kinsey. Alex Kinsey who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 12thth minute tested the skills of Al Fieldhouse when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Alex Kinsey succeeded in the game's 15th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. Bleyd Hamilton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Al Fieldhouse having to interfere. Danny Devere made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Navarro Johnson in the 22nd minute of play. Navarro Johnson kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. A collision led to Walgett getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Gregory Stebbing hit a great ball. Lucas Bailey recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Danny Devere took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gregory Stebbing, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Walgett's defense didn't have a chance, in the 41st minute, when Alex Kinsey scored to the left of an out of position Al Fieldhouse, making the score, 2-0. Alex Kinsey's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 47thth minute, Al Fieldhouse skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When Gregory Stebbing fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Walgett's protests and gave Gregory Stebbing a yellow card for diving instead. In the 47th match minute, Walgett was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gregory Stebbing to maneuver through the defense. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lucas Bailey to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 55th match minute, Walgett was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Navarro Johnson to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alex Kinsey in the 56th minute of play forced Walgett's goalkeeper Al Fieldhouse to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Alex Kinsey's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Al Fieldhouse was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. Al Fieldhouse stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alex Kinsey's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Biggs Perandis in the 83rd minute of play forced Walgett's goalkeeper Al Fieldhouse to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Walgett's Al Fieldhouse played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alex Kinsey in the 84th minute of play. Jessop Cubit kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Inter Wodonga's Danny Devere played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucas Bailey in the 89th minute of play. Al Fieldhouse stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alex Kinsey's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. When the match clock showed 94 minutes, the score became 5-0 when Alex Kinsey sped through Walgett's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Al Fieldhouse. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alex Kinsey in the 97th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Al Fieldhouse saved Walgett from getting behind. Inter Wodonga walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
