Spectators: 7400 (Terracing: 5800, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 100) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Elliott Turnbull started the match with the kick off. Patrick Didlock received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Blade Knevett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 7 played minutes Latrobe got a freekick which was hit by Rusty Petersen. Latrobe's Jason Moon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Keefer Samuels in the 8th minute of play. Roland Wadley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Jason Moon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elliott Turnbull in the 12th minute of play forced Club A. Independiente's goalkeeper Blade Knevett to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Roland Wadley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Neil Orvad recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Elliott Turnbull came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Latrobe fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elliott Turnbull couldn't finish the play. In the 25th minute, Jess Kinnaird ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Blade Knevett was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. A collision led to Club A. Independiente getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Fabian Breasley hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roland Wadley in the 32nd minute of play forced Latrobe's goalkeeper Jason Moon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Keefer Samuels struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Jason Moon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club A. Independiente. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Roland Wadley during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Club A. Independiente getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Roland Wadley hit a great ball. Jason Moon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Neil Orvad, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. When Jess Kinnaird came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Latrobe fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jess Kinnaird couldn't finish the play. Jason Moon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roland Wadley in the 45th minute of play. Elliott Turnbull received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Blade Knevett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Roland Wadley to make the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jess Kinnaird in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Blade Knevett saved Club A. Independiente from getting behind. 54 minutes into the match, Jess Kinnaird notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Club A. Independiente's Blade Knevett. Blade Knevett was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 59 minutes into the game, Latrobe's Jess Kinnaird nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Blade Knevett made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. When Grant Busst fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Latrobe's protests and gave Grant Busst a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Latrobe's Grant Busst got a free kick in the 62nd minute. After 64 played minutes Latrobe got a freekick which was hit by Bent Domenichetti. After 68 played minutes Roland Wadley rounded Latrobe's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 3-1. 71 minutes into the match, Latrobe's goalkeeper Jason Moon had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Keefer Samuels. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elliott Turnbull in the 76th minute of play forced Club A. Independiente's goalkeeper Blade Knevett to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 86 minutes of play, Latrobe's Elliott Turnbull made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Blade Knevett was left in no man's land by his defense there! During the 93rd minute of the match Grant Busst completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Grant Busst a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game.
