Burt Houldsworth stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tom Millar's shot from short distance in the 4th minute. Keith Kepert recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marcus Sperling sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Burt Houldsworth showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tom Millar in the 13th minute of the match. After 17 played minutes Jimmy Team got a freekick which was hit by Chuck Shearn. Burt Houldsworth didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tom Millar went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. In the 30th minute, Marcus Sperling got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tom Millar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Burt Houldsworth tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tom Millar struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Burt Houldsworth didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jimmy Team. If Bryant Durbridge had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 35th minute Tom Millar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Burt Houldsworth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 37 minutes, Tom Millar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jimmy Team's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tom Millar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Jimmy Team's Tom Millar in the 40th minute got a chance for a shot 40th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Esk's goalie prevented a goal. The Esk players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Jimmy Team were winning 0-4.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tom Millar to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Esk's zone, Chuck Shearn stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Burt Houldsworth came out of the goal and Chuck Shearn tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 55th minute, Rusty Brandie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dacosta Mitchell recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tom Millar had several of the Esk's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 58 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-5 score and a disappointed Burt Houldsworth as he didn't even see the shot coming. Brannan Anders hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Jess Vickery made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Barney Kennewell in the 68th minute of play. When Tom Millar came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Jimmy Team fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tom Millar couldn't finish the play. With his leg Burt Houldsworth managed to avoid a goal in the 75thth minute, when Jimmy Team's Tom Millar fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Tom Millar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 81 minutes, Tom Millar made it 0-6 with a short kick to the right side. Esk's Burt Houldsworth tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot.
