Jess Andrews's late challenge caught a FC FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jess Andrews helped the player get up and apologised. Jess Andrews hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. When FC FC's Dakota Rhodes in the 7th minute got a chance for a shot 7th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Hawthorn FC's goalie prevented a goal. 9 minutes into the game, Brant Markcrow threw the ball into play from the sideline. FC FC's Allen Copelin quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Bartholemew Alchin hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. 14 minutes into the match, FC FC's James Thiele sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Burns Deal narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Burns Deal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dakota Rhodes in the 16th minute of the match. If James Thiele had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 23 minutes into the game, Luck Day was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hawthorn FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC FC the free kick. After 24 minutes, Allen Copelin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC FC and the Hawthorn FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, FC FC's Allen Copelin got a free kick in the 24th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Joshua Hines managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Joshua Hines was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Burns Deal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Burns Deal didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dakota Rhodes went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 35th minute Dakota Rhodes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Burns Deal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The FC FC fans' excitement grew in the 37th match minute when FC FC's Dakota Rhodes looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Payne Roach made a kick off. With a little luck, Hawthorn FC's Burns Deal got control of the ball when Dakota Rhodes tried to sneak it across the goal line. James Thiele's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Burns Deal read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. James Thiele recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Hawthorn FC's Brandon Copelin got a free kick in the 56th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Birrell Mitchell in the 63rd minute of play forced FC FC's goalkeeper Kale Johnson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 64th minute, Allen Copelin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FC FC's Kale Johnson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Payne Roach in the 65th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dakota Rhodes in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Burns Deal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dakota Rhodes's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 75thth minute, Burns Deal skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After having played for 80 minutes, Allen Copelin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Allen Copelin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dakota Rhodes got free with Burns Deal in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dakota Rhodes in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Burns Deal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When James Thiele came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the FC FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that James Thiele couldn't finish the play. If Dakota Rhodes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dakota Rhodes in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Burns Deal prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
