Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 158) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Charles Snabl kicked off to start the match. A collision led to Pekina getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Ozzie Fasey hit a great ball. Corder Kreck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Barney Kennewell in the 4th minute of the match. Howie Winkless struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Burt Houldsworth didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pekina. 9 minutes into the match, Pekina's goal looked a bit too open when Charles Snabl came free, but Corder Kreck reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ozzie Fasey during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 11 minutes of play, Esk's Barney Kennewell made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Corder Kreck was left in no man's land by his defense there! Howie Winkless had several of the Esk's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 17 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-1 score and a disappointed Burt Houldsworth as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Esk's goalkeeper Burt Houldsworth, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Charles Snabl received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Corder Kreck tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ozzie Fasey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 29th match minute, Esk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Barney Kennewell to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Howie Winkless in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Burt Houldsworth prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 34 minutes into the match, Pekina's goal looked a bit too open when Charles Snabl came free, but Corder Kreck reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Charles Snabl received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Corder Kreck tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Howie Winkless received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Burt Houldsworth tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ozzie Fasey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Burt Houldsworth having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
A collision led to Pekina getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Bill Haeberle hit a great ball. Eddy Aliendi, 52 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. 55 minutes into the match, Pekina's goalkeeper Corder Kreck had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Barney Kennewell. If Charles Snabl had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 74th minute, Charles Snabl got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Charles Snabl blasted a shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Corder Kreck having to make a save. Ozzie Fasey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Burt Houldsworth having to interfere. In the 82nd minute of the match Bill Haeberle sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Burt Houldsworth skillfully saved the ball. Pekina were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Esk to leave the ground with a draw.
