Howie Winkless sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 8th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pekina's goalkeeper Corder Kreck, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Howie Winkless had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Howie Winkless sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 14 played minutes Pekina got a freekick which was hit by Ozzie Fasey. After 16 played minutes Meow got a freekick which was hit by Brock Flesfadar. If Bremen Caddick had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Marshall Thiele fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Corder Kreck having to interfere. Brye Barugh stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Howie Winkless's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. When Dean Schoenke came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Pekina fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dean Schoenke couldn't finish the play. Corder Kreck made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marshall Thiele in the 27th minute of play. Bremen Caddick fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Corder Kreck having to interfere. Bremen Caddick recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Dean Schoenke managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pekina's supporters rose to their feet, but Dean Schoenke was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Brye Barugh breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Meow's zone, Dean Schoenke stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Brye Barugh came out of the goal and Dean Schoenke tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Howie Winkless might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Brye Barugh. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Howie Winkless ran back to his position shaking his head. The long shot by Larry Flesfader in the 43rd minute really tested Brye Barugh's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Howie Winkless's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 46thth minute, Brye Barugh skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 47 minutes into the game, Bud Sanderson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Meow's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pekina the free kick. A collision led to Meow getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Bud Sanderson hit a great ball. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Howie Winkless to make the kick off. After having played for 53 minutes, Howie Winkless managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pekina's supporters crossed their fingers, but Howie Winkless was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marshall Thiele in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Corder Kreck prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Howie Winkless in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Brye Barugh saved Meow from getting behind. Ozzie Fasey struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Brye Barugh didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pekina. Howie Winkless received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Brye Barugh tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Meow's zone, Howie Winkless stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Brye Barugh came out of the goal and Howie Winkless tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 75th minute, Howie Winkless ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Brye Barugh was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Marshall Thiele fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Corder Kreck having to interfere. If Marshall Thiele had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Brye Barugh showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Howie Winkless in the 92nd minute of the match. Pekina were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
