When the match had gone on for 3 minutes, Dakota Rhodes took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Corder Kreck to make any attempt to save it. FC FC's Kale Johnson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Larry Flesfader in the 11th minute of play. Corder Kreck took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dakota Rhodes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 20 played minutes Dakota Rhodes could catch the ball where he stood relatively free a bit outside the goal and without hesitation he completed 2-0 into the left cross. Howie Winkless charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. James Thiele might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Corder Kreck. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Corder Kreck tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dakota Rhodes in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Corder Kreck prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 41 minutes into the game, Dakota Rhodes recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Corder Kreck. Dakota Rhodes showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

After a rather tough play, Pekina's Larry Flesfader got a free kick in the 54th minute. After having played for 55 minutes, Allen Copelin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Allen Copelin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Pekina getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Larry Flesfader hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dakota Rhodes in the 58th minute of play forced Pekina's goalkeeper Corder Kreck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dakota Rhodes in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. Corder Kreck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dakota Rhodes in the 67th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dakota Rhodes in the 68th minute of play forced Pekina's goalkeeper Corder Kreck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Dakota Rhodes came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the FC FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dakota Rhodes couldn't finish the play. In the 75th minute, Howie Winkless got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bill Haeberle during the 84th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The audience was convinced that Dakota Rhodes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Corder Kreck was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. FC FC had played much better football throughout.
