The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute Brent Moran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jamie Markwell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eden Forrest struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Jamie Markwell didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Corella. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by John Mcmurchie during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Bruce Mackney sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Brent Moran received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Jamie Markwell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Brent Moran sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Eden Forrest had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to T&G OCEAN getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Boyde Atterton hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in T&G OCEAN's zone, Eden Forrest stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jamie Markwell came out of the goal and Eden Forrest tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, T&G OCEAN's Jamie Markwell got control of the ball when Eden Forrest tried to sneak it across the goal line.

T&G OCEAN made a substitution. Darren Beaverley replaced John Mcmurchie. The wind increased when Bruce Mackney made the kick off in the second half. Corella's Brannan Stevens proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Corella from getting a goal against them. Jamie Markwell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Neale Pound in the 60th minute of play. T&G OCEAN's Bruce Mackney got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Brannan Stevens stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bruce Mackney's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. Corella's Brannan Stevens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edison Huff in the 70th minute of play. With an all-out effort, T&G OCEAN's Brannan Stevens threw himself towards the right post 71 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Russel Crane, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Edison Huff fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brannan Stevens having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Bruce Mackney's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Brannan Stevens was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. Eden Forrest scored 1-0 in the 80th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jamie Markwell, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 84th minute, Christopher Orvad hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 87th match minute, T&G OCEAN was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edison Huff to maneuver through the defense. Bruce Mackney blasted a shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Brannan Stevens having to make a save. Brannan Stevens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bruce Mackney, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Corella had won after a very even match.
