Spectators: 7443 (Terracing: 5500, Seating: 1843, VIP seats: 100) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Corder Wayland started the match with the kick off. A collision led to Tooligie getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Corder Wayland hit a great ball. In the 10th minute Bruce Mackney shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Irving Wenham saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, T&G OCEAN's Bruce Mackney got a free kick in the 12th minute. Irving Wenham stood somewhat misplaced when Edison Huff came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 14 minute. Jamie Markwell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Corder Wayland in the 20th minute of play. Bill Oconnell's late challenge caught a T&G OCEAN's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bill Oconnell helped the player get up and apologised. In the 21st match minute, Tooligie was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bill Oconnell to maneuver through the defense. Irving Wenham stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bruce Mackney's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. Tooligie's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Bruce Mackney 34 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 3-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Edison Huff managed to get in a good position for a shot. T&G OCEAN's supporters rose to their feet, but Edison Huff was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Irving Wenham breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A hard shot 45 in the game by Bruce Mackney from a close distance when the talented Irving Wenham managed to make a qualified save. Tooligie's players were relieved. A collision led to Tooligie getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Bradshaw Mckinnes hit a great ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bruce Mackney stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute, T&G OCEAN's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Bill Oconnell fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After 59 minutes, Bradley Porteus mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tooligie and the T&G OCEAN players grew even worse after the yellow card. Bradley Porteus kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. In the 60th minute, Russel Crane hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bill Oconnell could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Jamie Markwell made a huge save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bruce Mackney in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Irving Wenham saved Tooligie from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Tooligie's Downing Kurth got a free kick in the 74th minute. Irving Wenham took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edison Huff, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bruce Mackney in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Irving Wenham prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of T&G OCEAN booed when Tooligie was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bradley Porteus didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edison Huff received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Irving Wenham tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Tooligie's zone, Bruce Mackney stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Irving Wenham came out of the goal and Bruce Mackney tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Irving Wenham showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bruce Mackney in the 89th minute of the match. Irving Wenham stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bruce Mackney's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. The audience was convinced that Edison Huff's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Irving Wenham was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Bradley Porteus managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tooligie's supporters rose to their feet, but Bradley Porteus was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jamie Markwell breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. T&G OCEAN walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
