The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Payton Mudie during the 4th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Payton Mudie hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Bruce Mackney scored 0-1 in the 6th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alford Cudmore, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When T&G OCEAN's Bruce Mackney in the 12th minute got a chance for a shot 12th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Pymble Leopards FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 14th minute Edison Huff shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alford Cudmore saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, T&G OCEAN's Jamie Markwell got control of the ball when Hale Shipp tried to sneak it across the goal line. Alford Cudmore stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bruce Mackney's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bruce Mackney in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alford Cudmore prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Bruce Mackney's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alford Cudmore was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. Jamie Markwell didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hale Shipp went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. A collision led to T&G OCEAN getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Boyde Atterton hit a great ball. If Bruce Mackney had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pymble Leopards FC's Alford Cudmore played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bruce Mackney in the 46th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bruce Mackney to make the kick off. Brayden Soekirno kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. During the 56th minute of the match Payton Mudie completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Payton Mudie a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 56th minute, Payton Mudie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruce Mackney in the 64th minute of play forced Pymble Leopards FC's goalkeeper Alford Cudmore to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Christopher Orvad charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Christopher Orvad the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 67th minute, one of T&G OCEAN:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for T&G OCEAN. The referee gave Pymble Leopards FC a penalty, 69 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Dugald Rhodes, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of T&G OCEAN's Jamie Markwell. 2-1. When the match clock showed 74 minutes, the score became 2-2 when Bruce Mackney sped through Pymble Leopards FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Alford Cudmore. In the 78th minute, T&G OCEAN's Bruce Mackney dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-3. After a rather tough play, T&G OCEAN's Christopher Orvad got a free kick in the 84th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Pymble Leopards FC's zone, Edison Huff stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alford Cudmore came out of the goal and Edison Huff tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alford Cudmore had great luck who in the 90thth minute grab hold of the ball when Bruce Mackney from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. After 91 played minutes Pymble Leopards FC got a freekick which was hit by Clarke Rosenboom. T&G OCEAN's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
