Spectators: 7385 (Terracing: 5500, Seating: 1835, VIP seats: 50) Badsons's Barnes Tongs started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Alford Burtt's late challenge caught a Badsons's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alford Burtt helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, MooPee United's Alford Burtt got a free kick in the 7th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carleton Tongs in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Brand Stockwin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. John Hogan might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eavan Tauschke. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. John Hogan ran back to his position shaking his head. Andre Solomon hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. In the 22ndth minute of the game Barnes Tongs who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but MooPee United's Eavan Tauschke was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Brand Stockwin came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by MooPee United's Bran Stevenson. But to his dismay, Bran Stevenson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Brand Stockwin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andre Solomon in the 29th minute of play. Carleton Tongs struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Brand Stockwin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MooPee United. When Carleton Tongs came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the MooPee United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carleton Tongs couldn't finish the play. In the 40th minute Bran Stevenson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brand Stockwin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 47 minutes into the match, John Hogan notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of MooPee United's Eavan Tauschke. Eavan Tauschke was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Carleton Tongs to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute of the match, Carleton Tongs tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Brand Stockwin saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 55th match minute, MooPee United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paco Lamb to maneuver through the defense. After 57 minutes, Darian Foley mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the MooPee United and the Badsons players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 57th minute, Darian Foley hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Carleton Tongs managed to get in a good position for a shot. MooPee United's supporters rose to their feet, but Carleton Tongs was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Brand Stockwin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 70th minute, Andre Solomon made a precise shot to the right of Brand Stockwin. Badsons's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bran Stevenson got free with Brand Stockwin in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Bran Stevenson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Carleton Tongs blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Brand Stockwin having to make a save. With a little luck, Badsons's Brand Stockwin got control of the ball when Bran Stevenson tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, MooPee United's Paco Lamb got a free kick in the 96th minute. MooPee United's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
