Spectators: 7382 (Terracing: 5500, Seating: 1832, VIP seats: 50) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Barnes Tongs started the match with the kick off. Irving Wenham was a little too slow when Barnes Tongs got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 6th minute. The score was now 1-0. After 9 played minutes Badsons got a freekick which was hit by John Hogan. In the 10th minute, Brad Stafford hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Albert Gronow struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Brand Stockwin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tooligie. Brand Stockwin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bill Oconnell in the 17th minute of the match. In the 21st minute, John Hogan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. John Hogan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Irving Wenham made a huge save. Bill Oconnell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Bill Oconnell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Brand Stockwin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dakota Howarth kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Corder Wayland managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tooligie's supporters rose to their feet, but Corder Wayland was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Brand Stockwin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. John Hogan struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Irving Wenham didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Badsons. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Corder Wayland stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 59 minutes, Kenneth Busst mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tooligie and the Badsons players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Tooligie getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Kenneth Busst hit a great ball. If Barnes Tongs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 67th minute Badsons were awarded a corner. Brad Stafford went to the cornerflag to take it. Brad Stafford made a great header on Badsons's corner, it was just that Tooligie's Irving Wenham managed to reach the ball for a save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Brye Gorham in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Irving Wenham prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 79 played minutes Tooligie got a freekick which was hit by Downing Kurth. Irving Wenham came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by Badsons's Barnes Tongs. But to his dismay, Barnes Tongs quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Barnes Tongs received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Irving Wenham tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Tooligie players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Badsons.
