The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Tugun Jets FC's goal looked a bit too open when Bishop Arkinstall came free, but Darryl Phillips reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Tugun Jets FC booed when Spoiled Kid Sydney was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bishop Arkinstall didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 8 played minutes Spoiled Kid Sydney got a freekick which was hit by Fletcher Behla. In the 16th minute Burns Claringbold shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ringo Chapman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Belton Coleman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 24th match minute, Spoiled Kid Sydney was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fletcher Behla to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 27 minutes, Bishop Arkinstall managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Spoiled Kid Sydney's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bishop Arkinstall was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 30 minutes into the match, Bishop Arkinstall notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Tugun Jets FC's Darryl Phillips. Darryl Phillips was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Darryl Phillips made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Bishop Arkinstall sent off a good shot on target. In the 42nd match minute, Tugun Jets FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Remington Heath to maneuver through the defense.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rory William was the one to do the kick off. Bishop Arkinstall sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 54th match minute, Spoiled Kid Sydney was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rudy Richard to maneuver through the defense. In the 58th minute Bishop Arkinstall shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Darryl Phillips saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 59th minute, Bishop Arkinstall ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Darryl Phillips was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. A collision led to Spoiled Kid Sydney getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Fletcher Behla hit a great ball. Burns Claringbold received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Ringo Chapman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jacobs Paddle hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Bishop Arkinstall scored 3-0 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Darryl Phillips, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Tugun Jets FC's goalkeeper Darryl Phillips, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 77 minutes into the match, Rudy Richard had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Darryl Phillips. Tugun Jets FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rudy Richard was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Burns Claringbold in the 85th minute of play forced Spoiled Kid Sydney's goalkeeper Ringo Chapman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Darryl Phillips showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bishop Arkinstall in the 97th minute of the match. Spoiled Kid Sydney's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
