The Nicholson fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Dean Goodward showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Barney Bonison, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Laurence Death fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dean Goodward having to interfere. When Ben Saisell fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Relaxmore Deux FC's protests and gave Ben Saisell a yellow card for diving instead. Ben Saisell hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Barney Bonison made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Elliott Anders sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Nicholson's Marshal Reichelt didn't even have to move. 56 minutes into the match, Nicholson's goal looked a bit too open when Brand Burtt came free, but Marshal Reichelt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nicholson's Marshal Reichelt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brand Burtt in the 61st minute of play. Marshal Reichelt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Irwin Wayland, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Laurence Death received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Dean Goodward tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 72 minutes into the match, Relaxmore Deux FC's goalkeeper Dean Goodward had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Laurence Death. With a little luck, Relaxmore Deux FC's Dean Goodward got control of the ball when Laurence Death tried to sneak it across the goal line.
