Sidney Goiano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bunnaby's Ray Schoenke played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Douglas Schultz in the 6th minute of play. The supporters of Bunnaby booed when Murmungee was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Buck Schonke didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Murmungee's Rex Fieldhouse got control of the ball when Sidney Goiano tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sidney Goiano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Rex Fieldhouse tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sidney Goiano let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 11th minute shot 1-0 at rihgt post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Corbett Wenham in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ray Schoenke saved Bunnaby from getting behind. Ray Schoenke didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Corbett Wenham went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Murmungee's Douglas Schultz got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Ray Schoenke came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Murmungee's Corbett Wenham. But to his dismay, Corbett Wenham quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Sidney Goiano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Matt Delbridge had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 35th minute, Corbett Wenham left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Murmungee fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. When Jarrett Millard fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Murmungee's protests and gave Jarrett Millard a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Murmungee's Jarrett Millard got a free kick in the 44th minute. 46 minutes into the match, Bunnaby's Sidney Goiano sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rex Fieldhouse narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.
In the 55th minute Barnett Baxter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ray Schoenke saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Sidney Goiano came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Bunnaby fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sidney Goiano couldn't finish the play. The crowd rose to their feet as Douglas Schultz kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ray Schoenke. That made the score 1-4 in the 59 minute of play. After having played for 67 minutes, Sidney Goiano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bunnaby's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sidney Goiano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rex Fieldhouse made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sidney Goiano in the 69th minute of play. 72 minutes into the match, Barnett Baxter notched a goal, 2-5, to the right of Bunnaby's Ray Schoenke. Ray Schoenke was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ray Schoenke made an important save on a dangerous shot by Douglas Schultz in the 75th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Barnett Baxter in the 76th minute of play forced Bunnaby's goalkeeper Ray Schoenke to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Sidney Goiano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rex Fieldhouse was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sidney Goiano in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rex Fieldhouse saved Murmungee from getting behind. Ray Schoenke showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Humphry Oshea in the 82nd minute of the match. Murmungee's Rex Fieldhouse played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sidney Goiano in the 87th minute of play. 88 minutes into the match, Sidney Goiano notched a goal, 3-5, to the right of Murmungee's Rex Fieldhouse. Rex Fieldhouse was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After having played for 91 minutes, Alexander Clark managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bunnaby's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alexander Clark was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Murmungee supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Murmungee would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
