A collision led to Jimmy Pizza getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Case Cootes hit a great ball. Bob Pearson, 13 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Jackson Quinn charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jackson Quinn the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Mark Butterfield made an important save on a dangerous shot by Case Cootes in the 17th minute. Kyle Kuskop recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kyle Kuskop in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Boris Wang saved Jimmy Pizza from getting behind. Kyle Kuskop received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Boris Wang tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kyle Kuskop sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 31st play minute Irving Lander came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Mark Butterfield. 1-0. Kevin Carragher struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Mark Butterfield didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jimmy Pizza. Kevin Carragher's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mark Butterfield read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. Kyle Kuskop received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Boris Wang tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Sydney Eagles's Raymond Rann got a free kick in the 47th minute. After 48 played minutes Damian Byrnes shot from long distance. At first the shot seemed to be simple for Sydney Eagles's Mark Butterfield to catch but Damian Byrnes was lucky. It became 2-0 after the goalkeeper had been careless and dropped the ball into goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kevin Carragher made a kick off. Boris Wang showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kyle Kuskop, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Irving Lander sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 87th minute Kyle Kuskop shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Boris Wang saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mark Butterfield showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Irving Lander, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Mark Butterfield didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kevin Carragher went, in the 95th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Mark Butterfield made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kevin Carragher in the 98th minute of play.
