Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Corbett Wenham in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dean Goodward prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 14th minute of the match, Brand Burtt tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Rex Fieldhouse saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. If Brand Burtt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Brand Burtt during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 23rd match minute, Relaxmore Deux FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brand Burtt to maneuver through the defense. Joshua Howarth kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Corbett Wenham struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Dean Goodward didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Murmungee. In the 27th minute, Barnett Baxter ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dean Goodward was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 38 minutes into the game, Joshua Howarth was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Relaxmore Deux FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Murmungee the free kick. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Corbett Wenham managed to get in a good position for a shot. Murmungee's supporters rose to their feet, but Corbett Wenham was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dean Goodward breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dean Goodward took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Barnett Baxter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Relaxmore Deux FC's zone, Barnett Baxter stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dean Goodward came out of the goal and Barnett Baxter tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Barnett Baxter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 49th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

53 minutes into the match, Murmungee's goal looked a bit too open when Brand Burtt came free, but Rex Fieldhouse reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 58 minutes into the game, Murmungee's Barnett Baxter nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dean Goodward made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. The supporters of Relaxmore Deux FC booed when Murmungee was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Douglas Schultz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dean Goodward made an important save on a dangerous shot by Corbett Wenham in the 63rd minute. Joshua Howarth hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Corbett Wenham recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Barnett Baxter received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Dean Goodward tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 77th minute, Barnett Baxter got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Relaxmore Deux FC's goalkeeper Dean Goodward, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Corbett Wenham sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
