The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Bishop Arkinstall managed to get in a good position for a shot. Spoiled Kid Sydney's supporters rose to their feet, but Bishop Arkinstall was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marshal Reichelt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andrews Cowdell in the 13th minute of play forced Spoiled Kid Sydney's goalkeeper Ringo Chapman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 14th match minute, Spoiled Kid Sydney was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cod Pavkovic to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Spoiled Kid Sydney's Ivan Mcgaw got a free kick in the 17th minute. The supporters of Nicholson booed when Spoiled Kid Sydney was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ivan Mcgaw didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bleyd Clist's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ringo Chapman read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. After some careless play in the Nicholson defense, Bishop Arkinstall kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marshal Reichelt. The Nicholson fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marshal Reichelt should have stopped the shot. The Nicholson players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Spoiled Kid Sydney were winning 0-1.

62 minutes into the match, Nicholson's goalkeeper Marshal Reichelt had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bishop Arkinstall. Ringo Chapman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Laurence Death in the 65th minute of play. Barney Bonison scored 1-1 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ringo Chapman, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Spoiled Kid Sydney getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Case Arkinstall hit a great ball. Ringo Chapman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Laurence Death, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Spoiled Kid Sydney's Cod Pavkovic quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Braedan Shipman, made in the 85th minute of the game. In the 88th minute, Nicholson's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Bishop Arkinstall fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 97th match minute, Spoiled Kid Sydney was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cod Pavkovic to maneuver through the defense. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
