Spectators: 8012 (Terracing: 6011, Seating: 1842, VIP seats: 159) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Barney Bonison made the kick off which started today's match. In the 3rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Jimmy Pizza's goalkeeper Boris Wang, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 9th minute, Laurence Death got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 20th minute Laurence Death shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Boris Wang saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Laurence Death might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Boris Wang. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Laurence Death ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Case Cootes during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Jimmy Pizza getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Case Cootes hit a great ball. Laurence Death fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Boris Wang having to interfere. Boris Wang stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Barney Bonison's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. If Laurence Death had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kevin Carragher recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Irving Lander who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 39thth minute tested the skills of Marshal Reichelt when he managed to save the team from getting behind. A collision led to Nicholson getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Duncan Favas hit a great ball. Irving Lander blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marshal Reichelt having to make a save. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kevin Carragher was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Nicholson's zone, Jackson Quinn stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marshal Reichelt came out of the goal and Jackson Quinn tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Jimmy Pizza booed when Nicholson was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Duncan Favas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Laurence Death received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Boris Wang tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marshal Reichelt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kevin Carragher, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 76th minute Barney Bonison shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Boris Wang saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Laurence Death's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 77thth minute, Boris Wang skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Laurence Death got free with Boris Wang in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Jimmy Pizza getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Cornelius Obrien hit a great ball. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
