With a couple of smart ball manuevers Corbett Wenham in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Darryl Phillips saved Tugun Jets FC from getting behind. 18 minutes into the match, Tugun Jets FC's goal looked a bit too open when Barnett Baxter came free, but Darryl Phillips reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 19 minutes into the match, Tugun Jets FC's goal looked a bit too open when Corbett Wenham came free, but Darryl Phillips reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Barnett Baxter in the 20th minute of play forced Tugun Jets FC's goalkeeper Darryl Phillips to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rory William fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rex Fieldhouse having to interfere. Darryl Phillips showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Barnett Baxter, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. 40 minutes into the match, Tugun Jets FC's Rory William sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rex Fieldhouse narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 42 played minutes, Murmungee's Iggy Boylin shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Darryl Phillips came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Murmungee reached it. The supporters of Tugun Jets FC booed when Murmungee was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Humphry Oshea didn't get a good kick on the ball. Remington Heath, 47 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After the first half Murmungee were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

56 minutes into the match, Murmungee's Barnett Baxter sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Darryl Phillips narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Corbett Wenham who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 59thth minute tested the skills of Darryl Phillips when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Barnett Baxter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Murmungee's Arneil Carlisle got a free kick in the 73rd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Corbett Wenham got free with Darryl Phillips in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 77th minute, Rory William got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Corbett Wenham came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Murmungee fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Corbett Wenham couldn't finish the play. Iggy Boylin kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Barnett Baxter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Darryl Phillips having to interfere. In the 91st match minute, Tugun Jets FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Remington Heath to maneuver through the defense. 92 minutes into the match, Barnett Baxter dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Darryl Phillips, 0-3. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Douglas Schultz during the 96th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Douglas Schultz hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. The Tugun Jets FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Murmungee's performance. The match ended with a win for Murmungee.
