Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Rockwell's Danton Awage started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Rockwell's Stew Lovis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Grant Kesi in the 2nd minute of play. 4 minutes into the match, Sale's goal looked a bit too open when Danton Awage came free, but Christopher Staggard reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 7 minutes into the game, Danton Awage recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Christopher Staggard. Danton Awage showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. A collision led to Sale getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Ronald Bowen hit a great ball. Bennett Mcjunkin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Stew Lovis having to make a save. Brent Lonergan struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Christopher Staggard didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rockwell. In the 18th minute, Danton Awage got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Brent Lonergan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Christopher Staggard made a huge save. If Bennett Mcjunkin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stew Lovis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bennett Mcjunkin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Brendan Favas kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 29 minutes, Danton Awage put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Christopher Staggard. Christopher Staggard showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Danton Awage, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. If Brent Lonergan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Brent Lonergan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 49th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Dalton Barugh charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dalton Barugh the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Sale getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Dalton Barugh hit a great ball. Sale's Christopher Staggard played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brent Lonergan in the 56th minute of play. 61 minutes into the match, Sale's goal looked a bit too open when Danton Awage came free, but Christopher Staggard reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Grant Kesi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Stew Lovis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Grant Kesi, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. With a little luck, Rockwell's Stew Lovis got control of the ball when Bennett Mcjunkin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Brent Lonergan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christopher Staggard having to interfere. Stew Lovis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Grant Kesi in the 77th minute of the match. Christopher Staggard made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Danton Awage in the 87th minute of play. Grant Kesi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 99th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the Sale players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Rockwell.
