Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Belton Laing made the kick off which started today's match. Berny Stebbing showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Best Stevenson, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Berny Stebbing was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 11th minute, Best Stevenson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Catanzaro FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. After 16 minutes of play, Tigers FC's Byrne Muncaster made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Andres Dobson was left in no man's land by his defense there! Belton Laing took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Berny Stebbing. Berny Stebbing dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Berny Stebbing came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by Catanzaro FC's Belton Laing. But to his dismay, Belton Laing quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. Byrne Muncaster charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Byrne Muncaster the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 30th match minute, Tigers FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Byrne Muncaster to maneuver through the defense. In the 33rd minute Boyd Diehl shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Berny Stebbing saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Catanzaro FC's Andres Dobson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Byrne Muncaster in the 39th minute of play. Berny Stebbing made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dane Sedgman in the 42nd minute of play. In the 44th minute, Boyd Diehl left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Catanzaro FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-5. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-6 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Karl Schonke stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Belton Laing received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Berny Stebbing came out and tried to block the shot, but Belton Laing slotted it home off the left post making it 1-7 in the 55th minute. Best Stevenson took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Berny Stebbing. Berny Stebbing dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-8. Andres Dobson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Byrne Muncaster in the 70th minute of play. With a little luck, Tigers FC's Berny Stebbing got control of the ball when Best Stevenson tried to sneak it across the goal line. Alan Oconnell kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Berny Stebbing made an important save on a dangerous shot by Handley Christini in the 84th minute. In the 88th minute, Alan Oconnell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Best Stevenson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Berny Stebbing tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded Catanzaro FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Tigers FC.
