Bert Johnson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bran Minton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Andre Lawrence received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Jamese Awage tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 25 minutes into the match, Los Angeles de Coco's Andre Lawrence sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jamese Awage narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 31st minute, Andre Lawrence got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ivan Maciver might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jamese Awage. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ivan Maciver ran back to his position shaking his head. Ivan Maciver fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jamese Awage having to interfere.

Dan Wittber took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ray Domenichetti. Ray Domenichetti dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 66th match minute, Los Angeles de Coco was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ivan Maciver to maneuver through the defense. In the 70th minute Andre Lawrence shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jamese Awage saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 75 minutes into the match, Andre Lawrence notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Palmerston North Pirates's Jamese Awage. Jamese Awage was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a defensive mix-up in Palmerston North Pirates's zone, Andre Lawrence stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jamese Awage came out of the goal and Andre Lawrence tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Andre Lawrence fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jamese Awage having to interfere. Bran Minton blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jamese Awage having to make a save. When Dan Wittber fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Palmerston North Pirates's protests and gave Dan Wittber a yellow card for diving instead. In the 89th match minute, Palmerston North Pirates was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dan Wittber to maneuver through the defense. Dan Wittber was shown his second yellow card after 91 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, Palmerston North Pirates's Dan Wittber got a free kick in the 92nd minute.
