Dugald Limmer stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cain Quinnell's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. Boyd Rutledge succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 34th playminute. Boyd Rutledge blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dugald Limmer having to make a save. Cliff Crawford struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Baxter Kuskoff didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Australia Fc. 42 minutes into the match, Alex Murphy had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Baxter Kuskoff. Lucyvale's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alex Murphy was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1.

54 minutes into the match, Lucyvale's goal looked a bit too open when Alex Murphy came free, but Baxter Kuskoff reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Australia Fc players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Lucyvale.
