Alan Oconnell was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 5 minutes into the match. 4 minutes into the game, one of Tigers FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Karl Schonke sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 12 minutes into the match, Tigers FC's goalkeeper Berny Stebbing had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bo Cave. In the 13th minute Paul Loch shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Berny Stebbing saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Berny Stebbing took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Pegrum, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tigers FC's Berny Stebbing played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paul Loch in the 16th minute of play. 17 minutes into the match, Tigers FC's goalkeeper Berny Stebbing had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bo Cave. Tigers FC's attentive Brand Hines managed to snatch the ball when Jamie Tebbit made a throw-in in the 31st minute of the game. Brian Greenan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Karl Schonke, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Karl Schonke sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 35thth minute of the game Karl Schonke who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Coningsby's Brian Greenan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Byrne Muncaster received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Brian Greenan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Quade Goodward during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Berny Stebbing stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Paul Loch's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Pegrum in the 46th minute of play forced Tigers FC's goalkeeper Berny Stebbing to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 47 minutes of play, Coningsby's Brent Cameron made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Berny Stebbing was left in no man's land by his defense there! The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Paul Loch was the one to do the kick off. Daniel Pegrum scored 3-0 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Berny Stebbing, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Berny Stebbing made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paul Loch in the 58th minute of play. Jamie Tebbit kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Brian Greenan acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 61st minute, took the ball on the long shot from Byrne Muncaster. Tigers FC's Karl Schonke got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A throw-in in the 65th minute of the game was made by Benedict Greenan with Bo Cave as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Karl Schonke could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Brian Greenan made a huge save. Daniel Pegrum hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. 75 minutes into the game, Karl Schonke lined in a short shot 3-1 behind a frustrated Brian Greenan. In the 79th match minute, Tigers FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Quade Goodward to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Coningsby's Pete Reichelt tried to score from far away in the 80th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Berny Stebbing made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brent Cameron in the 82nd minute of play. If Max Triplett had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Karl Schonke fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brian Greenan having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Coningsby's zone, Karl Schonke stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Brian Greenan came out of the goal and Karl Schonke tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Max Triplett sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Karl Schonke who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 93rdth minute tested the skills of Brian Greenan when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With a little luck, Coningsby's Brian Greenan got control of the ball when Karl Schonke tried to sneak it across the goal line. 98 minutes into the game, Coningsby's Benedict Greenan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Berny Stebbing made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1.
