Spectators: 6000 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Clarevaulx's Lorenz Capellemans started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Roland Convine showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tobie Parryman, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Roland Convine made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bert Johnson in the 21st minute. Jamese Awage stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lorenz Capellemans's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. The supporters of Clarevaulx booed when Palmerston North Pirates was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Meyer Missen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Clarevaulx's attentive Lauder Rose managed to snatch the ball when Bjorn Petersen made a throw-in in the 37th minute of the game. Roland Convine made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tobie Parryman in the 43rd minute of play. Lorenz Capellemans's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jamese Awage read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. Kevin Macinnes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Jamese Awage tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tobie Parryman stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 54 minutes of play, Palmerston North Pirates's Tobie Parryman made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Roland Convine was left in no man's land by his defense there! A throw-in in the 58th minute of the game was made by Meyer Missen with Dan Wittber as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. The crowd rose to their feet as Lorenz Capellemans kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jamese Awage. That made the score 1-2 in the 72 minute of play. If Bert Johnson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jamese Awage had great luck who in the 80thth minute grab hold of the ball when Lorenz Capellemans from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Meyer Missen made in the 81st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Clarevaulx's Murphey Goodwin. 82 minutes into the game, one of Palmerston North Pirates:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 84th minute, Brennan Maddern left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Clarevaulx fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. Jamese Awage showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lorenz Capellemans, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. In the 95th minute of the match, Lorenz Capellemans tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jamese Awage saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Lauder Rose received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Jamese Awage tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kevin Macinnes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
