Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) 3 minutes into the game, Lucyvale's Cain Quinnell nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Berny Stebbing made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 6th minute, Tigers FC's Nathan Meyers seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Nathan Meyers the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Tigers FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Nathan Meyers had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 7 played minutes Tigers FC got a freekick which was hit by Nathan Meyers. In the 8th minute, Antonia Hodson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Karl Schonke managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tigers FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Karl Schonke was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Baxter Kuskoff breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tigers FC's Karl Schonke got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lucyvale's goalkeeper Baxter Kuskoff, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Berny Stebbing showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cain Quinnell in the 20th minute of the match. 21 minutes into the match, Tigers FC's goal looked a bit too open when Boyd Rutledge came free, but Berny Stebbing reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Byrne Muncaster had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Quade Sparrow's late challenge caught a Tigers FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Quade Sparrow helped the player get up and apologised. Quade Sparrow kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. In the 32nd minute Antonia Hodson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Berny Stebbing saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 34 minutes into the match, Gregory Locke had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Berny Stebbing. Tigers FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gregory Locke was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Karl Schonke fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baxter Kuskoff having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Byrne Muncaster managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tigers FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Byrne Muncaster was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Baxter Kuskoff breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karl Schonke in the 41st minute of play forced Lucyvale's goalkeeper Baxter Kuskoff to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Lucyvale's goalkeeper Baxter Kuskoff, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Tigers FC's Karl Schonke in the 55th minute got a chance for a shot 55th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Lucyvale's goalie prevented a goal. Baxter Kuskoff didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Karl Schonke went, in the 57th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. The supporters of Tigers FC booed when Lucyvale was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Earl Limmer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gregory Locke's late challenge caught a Tigers FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gregory Locke helped the player get up and apologised. Gregory Locke hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karl Schonke in the 71st minute of play forced Lucyvale's goalkeeper Baxter Kuskoff to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 75th minute, Lucyvale's Boyd Rutledge ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Berny Stebbing. Berny Stebbing yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. If Karl Schonke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chants of Lucyvale echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Tigers FC had held the ball for most of the match.
