Meyer Missen hit a great ball. 17 minutes into the match, Palmerston North Pirates's goal looked a bit too open when Lorenz Capellemans came free, but Jamese Awage reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 21 minutes, Lorenz Capellemans took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Jamese Awage to make any attempt to save it. Meyer Missen kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Clarevaulx's attentive Lauder Rose managed to snatch the ball when Meyer Missen made a throw-in in the 28th minute of the game. Jamese Awage made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Kevin Macinnes sent off a good shot on target. Lauder Rose charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lauder Rose the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lorenz Capellemans to make the kick off. Palmerston North Pirates's Jamese Awage played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lorenz Capellemans in the 53rd minute of play. The Clarevaulx fans' excitement grew in the 54th match minute when Clarevaulx's Lorenz Capellemans looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Jamese Awage took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kevin Macinnes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Dan Wittber fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Palmerston North Pirates's protests and gave Dan Wittber a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Clarevaulx booed when Palmerston North Pirates was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dan Wittber didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jamese Awage stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lorenz Capellemans's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. In the 75th minute, Lorenz Capellemans got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Murphey Goodwin kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. In the 82nd minute, Palmerston North Pirates's Bert Johnson dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-1. In the 87th minute, Lorenz Capellemans left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Clarevaulx fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. The supporters of Clarevaulx booed when Palmerston North Pirates was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jerrard Weeks didn't get a good kick on the ball. Murphey Goodwin hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Jamese Awage didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kevin Macinnes went, in the 97th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-1 was the resulting score.
