Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Berke Atkin took the kick off in the first half of the match. Herbert Richard's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 8thth minute, Kale Addison skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Darrell Castray in the 9th minute of play forced Backyard Football's goalkeeper Kale Addison to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Payton Haydock showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Berke Atkin in the 16th minute of the match. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind MongolianWarrior's goalkeeper Payton Haydock, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Payton Haydock made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Berke Atkin in the 19th minute of play. 20 minutes into the match, MongolianWarrior's goal looked a bit too open when Rusty Ridding came free, but Payton Haydock reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 23rd minute, Rusty Ridding got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Eliot Hopkins hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. In the 27th minute, Hank Sobczak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Berke Atkin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Payton Haydock was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. In the 32nd minute, Dwight Minter hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Payton Haydock didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cod Mapps went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Rusty Ridding received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Payton Haydock tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 41 minutes, Rusty Ridding managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Backyard Football's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rusty Ridding was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Ed Garing came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Backyard Football fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ed Garing couldn't finish the play. If Rusty Ridding had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Backyard Football were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Darrell Castray stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Herbert Richard might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kale Addison. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Herbert Richard ran back to his position shaking his head. 61 minutes into the match, MongolianWarrior's goal looked a bit too open when Berke Atkin came free, but Payton Haydock reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Herbert Richard recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Darrell Castray received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Kale Addison tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Darrell Castray's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kale Addison was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Backyard Football's Cod Mapps got a free kick in the 67th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rusty Ridding got free with Payton Haydock in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 72 minutes, Cod Mapps mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Backyard Football and the MongolianWarrior players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 72nd minute, Cod Mapps hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Herbert Richard in the 75th minute of play forced Backyard Football's goalkeeper Kale Addison to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 78th minute Darrell Castray shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kale Addison saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rusty Ridding could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Payton Haydock made a huge save. Crawford Mackney shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Rufus Nobes hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. The Backyard Football players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
