When Dagan Lucas came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Bundaberg RUMblers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dagan Lucas couldn't finish the play. Russel Andrusiow recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Berke Mcmillan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dean Smoothy hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Casper Sawbridge fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Russ Ross having to interfere. Altona Meadows's Berke Mcmillan got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 23rd minute Russel Andrusiow shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Russ Ross saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Casper Sawbridge sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Brandon Brennan came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Bundaberg RUMblers fans jumped to their feet. When the match had gone on for 38 minutes, Casper Sawbridge put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Russ Ross. James Mogork charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed James Mogork the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 41st match minute, Altona Meadows was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by James Mogork to maneuver through the defense.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Berke Mcmillan was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Berke Mcmillan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Altona Meadows's supporters rose to their feet, but Berke Mcmillan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Russ Ross breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With his leg Russ Ross managed to avoid a goal in the 53rdth minute, when Altona Meadows's Casper Sawbridge fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Berke Mcmillan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Russ Ross tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Altona Meadows's James Mogork got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Bundaberg RUMblers's zone, Casper Sawbridge stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Russ Ross came out of the goal and Casper Sawbridge tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Bundaberg RUMblers's Russ Ross got control of the ball when Berke Mcmillan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Russel Andrusiow sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Altona Meadows's Casper Sawbridge got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Boris Pukallus recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Russ Ross made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Casper Sawbridge sent off a good shot on target. Berke Mcmillan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ace Brien during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 75th match minute, Bundaberg RUMblers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ace Brien to maneuver through the defense. Russ Ross made an important save on a dangerous shot by Berke Mcmillan in the 77th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Russel Andrusiow in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Russ Ross prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Bundaberg RUMblers's goalkeeper Russ Ross, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 84 minutes, James Mogork managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Altona Meadows's supporters crossed their fingers, but James Mogork was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dean Smoothy hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Berke Mcmillan might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Russ Ross. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Berke Mcmillan ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Altona Meadows booed when Bundaberg RUMblers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ace Brien didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Casper Sawbridge had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Berke Mcmillan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Russ Ross made a huge save. The Bundaberg RUMblers fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Altona Meadows were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
