The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Brown Black blasted a shot towards the goal in the 2nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Arnie Alcock having to make a save. In the 6th minute, Brown Black left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Landsborough fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Herbert Haberle hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. 11 minutes into the match, Perilya's goal looked a bit too open when Brown Black came free, but Arnie Alcock reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 13th minute, Brown Black got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ray Calver fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnie Alcock having to interfere. If Brown Black had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arnie Alcock stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Brown Black's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. 27 minutes into the match, Landsborough's goal looked a bit too open when Best James came free, but Berry Brady reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Clark Blestowe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Berry Brady having to interfere. Zackery Hodgson charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Zackery Hodgson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 41st minute, Zackery Hodgson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Perilya booed when Landsborough was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brown Black didn't get a good kick on the ball. Clark Blestowe's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 46thth minute, Berry Brady skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 46 minutes, Herbert Haberle mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Landsborough and the Perilya players grew even worse after the yellow card. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Brown Black made a kick off. When Brown Black, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 52 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Arnie Alcock was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Herbert Haberle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Arnie Alcock tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bevis Salcedo kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Brown Black's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arnie Alcock read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. Bradford Missen hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clark Blestowe in the 68th minute of play forced Landsborough's goalkeeper Berry Brady to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A hard shot 71 in the game by Brown Black from a close distance when the talented Arnie Alcock managed to make a qualified save. Perilya's players were relieved. Brown Black took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arnie Alcock. Arnie Alcock dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Brown Black came free with the goalkeeper in the 76th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Arnie Alcock could save by the left post. In the 76th minute, Landsborough's Brown Black dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. Brown Black in the 80thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Arnie Alcock, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. During the 81st minute of the match Zackery Hodgson completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Zackery Hodgson a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of Landsborough booed when Perilya was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zackery Hodgson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Berry Brady made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Clark Blestowe in the 85th minute of play. When Brown Black came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Landsborough fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Brown Black couldn't finish the play. Larkin Swan kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Perilya's Arnie Alcock proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save Perilya from getting a goal against them. 91 minutes into the match, Brown Black dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Arnie Alcock, 1-4. Arnie Alcock made an important save on a dangerous shot by Brown Black in the 97th minute. The Perilya supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Landsborough's performance. The match ended with a win for Landsborough.
