An unexpectedly hard shot by Jake Smoothy in the 14th minute of play forced Bulleen Zebras F.C.'s goalkeeper Birrell Mckay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bulleen Zebras F.C.'s Reese Weeks got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Buck Blattman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Russ Ross having to interfere. The supporters of Bundaberg RUMblers booed when Bulleen Zebras F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Michael Boots didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fleming Beverly hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Bundaberg RUMblers's Brandon Brennan got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jake Smoothy to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Buck Blattman in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Russ Ross prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Jake Smoothy managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bundaberg RUMblers's supporters rose to their feet, but Jake Smoothy was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Birrell Mckay breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Buck Blattman in the 72nd minute of play forced Bundaberg RUMblers's goalkeeper Russ Ross to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Bulleen Zebras F.C. defense, Jake Smoothy kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Birrell Mckay. The Bulleen Zebras F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Birrell Mckay should have stopped the shot. Reese Weeks recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bundaberg RUMblers's Russ Ross played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Buck Blattman in the 88th minute of play. Buck Blattman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Russ Ross having to interfere. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
