Brandon Brennan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Charles Dorrell having to interfere. Kelvin Norman charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kelvin Norman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Booroorban getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Kelvin Norman hit a great ball. In the 29th match minute, Bundaberg RUMblers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dagan Lucas to maneuver through the defense. Brandon Brennan's late challenge caught a Booroorban's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Brandon Brennan helped the player get up and apologised. Eden Sperling fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Russ Ross having to interfere. Rex Mckinnes charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rex Mckinnes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When Eden Sperling came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Booroorban fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eden Sperling couldn't finish the play.

If Brandon Brennan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jake Smoothy in the 57th minute of play forced Booroorban's goalkeeper Charles Dorrell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Charles Dorrell made an important save on a dangerous shot by Brandon Brennan in the 60th minute. After 62 played minutes Bundaberg RUMblers got a freekick which was hit by Dean Smoothy. After a rather tough play, Booroorban's Eden Sperling got a free kick in the 64th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Booroorban's zone, Brandon Brennan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Charles Dorrell came out of the goal and Brandon Brennan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 0-2 became the score in the 73rd minute when Jake Smoothy elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 78 minutes into the match, Booroorban's goalkeeper Charles Dorrell had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Brandon Brennan. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Bundaberg RUMblers eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
