The supporters of Perilya booed when Landsborough was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Herbert Haberle didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arnie Alcock had great luck who in the 13thth minute grab hold of the ball when Ray Calver from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Herbert Haberle got free with Arnie Alcock in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ray Calver sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Brown Black had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ray Calver fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnie Alcock having to interfere. After 35 played minutes Perilya got a freekick which was hit by Corey Starling. Ray Calver recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 40th match minute, Perilya was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zackery Hodgson to maneuver through the defense. Perilya's Arnie Alcock proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Perilya from getting a goal against them. In the 44th minute, Perilya's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Ray Calver fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Zackery Hodgson was shown his second yellow card after 45 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Zackery Hodgson hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Arnie Alcock showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ray Calver in the 47th minute of the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Clark Blestowe was the one to do the kick off. Brown Black struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Arnie Alcock didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Landsborough. The audience was convinced that Brown Black's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Arnie Alcock was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. In the 74th match minute, Landsborough was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ray Calver to maneuver through the defense. Arnie Alcock came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by Landsborough's Brown Black. But to his dismay, Brown Black quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Brown Black might have been able to make a better finish in the 85th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Arnie Alcock. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Brown Black ran back to his position shaking his head. Arnie Alcock showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ray Calver, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. After 93 minutes, Bevis Salcedo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Perilya and the Landsborough players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 93 played minutes Perilya got a freekick which was hit by Bevis Salcedo. Landsborough's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
