Spectators: 7998 (Terracing: 6000, Seating: 1839, VIP seats: 159) Pierre Allan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Burns Quinane in the 4th minute of play. In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lewisham's goalkeeper Pierre Allan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 20 minutes into the match, Roger Turner had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jacobs Aylwin. Casa do Benfica em Sydney's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Roger Turner was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Damian Turnbull in the 25th minute of play forced Lewisham's goalkeeper Pierre Allan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Lewisham's Carl Wharton got a free kick in the 27th minute. Carl Wharton kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Damian Turnbull recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lewisham's Pierre Allan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Burns Quinane in the 34th minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Carver Stevenson to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 52 minutes, Carver Stevenson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lewisham's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carver Stevenson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Casa do Benfica em Sydney getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Dale Hunter hit a great ball. Jacobs Aylwin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carver Stevenson, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carver Stevenson in the 69th minute of play forced Casa do Benfica em Sydney's goalkeeper Jacobs Aylwin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Damian Turnbull recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Damian Turnbull had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Lewisham booed when Casa do Benfica em Sydney was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roger Monck didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 80th minute, Nathaniel Fordham hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Burns Quinane sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carl Wharton struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Jacobs Aylwin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lewisham. Pierre Allan made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Damian Turnbull sent off a good shot on target. Roger Turner received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Jacobs Aylwin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
