Spectators: 7460 (Terracing: 5960, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Gregg Berresford didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sydney SOKYO FC. When Ollie Sobezak came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Auckland FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ollie Sobezak couldn't finish the play. Sydney SOKYO FC's Lance Johnston played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stewart Soekirno in the 20th minute of play. Isaac Jakobsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gregg Berresford having to interfere. Edwardo Alchin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Isaac Jakobsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Gregg Berresford tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 43 minutes into the match, Sydney SOKYO FC's goalkeeper Lance Johnston had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ollie Sobezak. If Stewart Soekirno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Auckland FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Sydney SOKYO FC were winning 0-1.

In the 53rd minute Isaac Jakobsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gregg Berresford saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 56 minutes into the game, Isaac Jakobsson recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Gregg Berresford. Isaac Jakobsson showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. Gregg Berresford made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Byrne Coleman sent off a good shot on target. If Stewart Soekirno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sydney SOKYO FC's Lance Johnston played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ollie Sobezak in the 67th minute of play. Dagan Leydin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 73 minutes into the game, Archie Price was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Auckland FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sydney SOKYO FC the free kick. Ollie Sobezak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lance Johnston having to interfere. 79 minutes into the match, Sydney SOKYO FC's goal looked a bit too open when Stewart Soekirno came free, but Lance Johnston reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lance Johnston showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stewart Soekirno, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Sydney SOKYO FC's Lance Johnston played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stewart Soekirno in the 91st minute of play. Lance Johnston made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ollie Sobezak in the 92nd minute of play. Ollie Sobezak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lance Johnston having to interfere. Archie Winkless hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. The Sydney SOKYO FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
