Spectators: 6828 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1828, VIP seats: 0) An unexpectedly hard shot by Brooks Morey in the 11th minute of play forced Auckland FC's goalkeeper Gregg Berresford to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 12 minutes into the game, Jordon Warren was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Auckland FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave PeNguyen the free kick. Jordon Warren hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Byrne Sawbridge showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ollie Sobezak, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. PeNguyen's Burt Berresford was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 18th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. PeNguyen's Phil Harkness got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind Auckland FC's goalkeeper Gregg Berresford, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jamie Powderham kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, PeNguyen's Phil Harkness got a free kick in the 41st minute. In the 42nd minute, Jaffery Kidman sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and PeNguyen's Byrne Sawbridge didn't even have to move. In the 47th minute Stewart Soekirno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Byrne Sawbridge saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Kevin Norton hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Gregg Berresford came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by PeNguyen's Brooks Morey. But to his dismay, Brooks Morey quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Burt Berresford struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Gregg Berresford didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for PeNguyen. After 64 played minutes PeNguyen got a freekick which was hit by Roy Marcola. Ollie Sobezak came free with the goalkeeper in the 65th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Byrne Sawbridge could save by the left post. The Auckland FC fans' excitement grew in the 68th match minute when Auckland FC's Stewart Soekirno looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene.
