Burt Berresford fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jarrett Stevens having to interfere. A hard shot 12 in the game by Burt Berresford from a close distance when the talented Jarrett Stevens managed to make a qualified save. Reds's players were relieved. Byrne Sawbridge showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Niles Mills, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. PeNguyen's Brooks Morey got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Byrne Sawbridge took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Niles Mills, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Brooks Morey managed to get in a good position for a shot. PeNguyen's supporters rose to their feet, but Brooks Morey was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jarrett Stevens breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Burt Berresford in the 36thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jarrett Stevens, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Jarrett Stevens made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Burt Berresford sent off a good shot on target. Burt Berresford could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Jarrett Stevens made a huge save. A collision led to Reds getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Irwin Bailey hit a great ball. Byrne Sawbridge made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dani Mudie in the 48th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

After having played for 75 minutes, Niles Mills managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Reds's supporters crossed their fingers, but Niles Mills was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dani Mudie in the 77th minute of play forced PeNguyen's goalkeeper Byrne Sawbridge to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dani Mudie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Byrne Sawbridge tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Burt Berresford in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jarrett Stevens saved Reds from getting behind. 98 minutes into the match, Reds's goal looked a bit too open when Burt Berresford came free, but Jarrett Stevens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
