Bill Pearson's late challenge caught a Reds's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bill Pearson helped the player get up and apologised. After 7 played minutes Soupers got a freekick which was hit by Bill Pearson. When the match had gone on for 14 minutes, Dani Mudie took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Dean Telfer to make any attempt to save it. In the 20th match minute, Reds was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dani Mudie to maneuver through the defense. 22 minutes into the match, Niles Mills had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dean Telfer. Soupers's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Niles Mills was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. In the 27th minute, Donovan Pfingst made a precise shot to the right of Jarrett Stevens. Reds's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Donovan Pfingst struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Jarrett Stevens didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Soupers. After a defensive mix-up in Reds's zone, Grant Frew stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jarrett Stevens came out of the goal and Grant Frew tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 39 minutes into the match, Reds's goal looked a bit too open when Bill Pearson came free, but Jarrett Stevens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jarrett Stevens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bill Pearson in the 40th minute of the match. Donovan Pfingst fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jarrett Stevens having to interfere. Dani Mudie charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dani Mudie the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 45th match minute, Reds was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dani Mudie to maneuver through the defense. Donovan Pfingst sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dani Mudie made a kick off. In the 59th minute Niles Mills shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dean Telfer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jarrett Stevens made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Donovan Pfingst sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 62 minutes, Grant Frew managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Soupers's supporters crossed their fingers, but Grant Frew was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Donovan Pfingst in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jarrett Stevens saved Reds from getting behind. Donovan Pfingsts short, quick shot in the 67thth minute got Jarrett Stevens to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Jarrett Stevens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Humphry Knaack, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Humphry Knaack received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Jarrett Stevens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 76 minutes into the match, Soupers's goal looked a bit too open when Niles Mills came free, but Dean Telfer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Humphry Knaack fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jarrett Stevens having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Grant Frew managed to get in a good position for a shot. Soupers's supporters rose to their feet, but Grant Frew was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jarrett Stevens breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 88th minute Donovan Pfingst shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jarrett Stevens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dean Telfer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Niles Mills in the 92nd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Niles Mills in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dean Telfer saved Soupers from getting behind. Grant Frew sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Soupers's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Reds had won, even though Soupers had held more of the ball.
