The goal made the score 1-0. Barry Powell hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Jared Pustak kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Todd Moran received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Danton Marsland tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bungunya's Danton Marsland proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Bungunya from getting a goal against them. If Jared Pustak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Henry Slattery sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Achmids Soul's goalkeeper Abbott Mudie, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Clark Pearce during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. With a little luck, Bungunya's Danton Marsland got control of the ball when Todd Moran tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 25 played minutes Bungunya got a freekick which was hit by Douglas Wharton. Achmids Soul's Rudolph Holdsworth got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Danton Marsland made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rudolph Holdsworth in the 28th minute of play. Todd Morans short, quick shot in the 30thth minute got Danton Marsland to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After some careless play in the Achmids Soul defense, Barry Powell kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Abbott Mudie. The Achmids Soul fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Abbott Mudie should have stopped the shot. In the 34th minute, Brooks Chamberlain hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Rudolph Holdsworth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Isaac Rummens during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 41 played minutes Achmids Soul got a freekick which was hit by Isaac Rummens. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rudolph Holdsworth to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Philip Morse hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bungunya's Danton Marsland played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Todd Moran in the 54th minute of play. In the 59th minute, Todd Moran made a precise shot to the right of Danton Marsland. Bungunya's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. 65 minutes into the match, Bungunya's goal looked a bit too open when Rudolph Holdsworth came free, but Danton Marsland reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Rudolph Holdsworth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Todd Moran fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Danton Marsland having to interfere. If Rudolph Holdsworth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Everitt Veitch hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Achmids Soul's Conner Laing got a free kick in the 78th minute. In the 79th minute of the match Alford Cubit sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Abbott Mudie skillfully saved the ball. Barry Powell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Henry Slattery got free with Abbott Mudie in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Abbott Mudie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jared Pustak in the 85th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Todd Moran in the 87th minute of play forced Bungunya's goalkeeper Danton Marsland to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 87 played minutes Bungunya got a freekick which was hit by Clark Pearce. For all the effort they put into the match, the Bungunya players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Achmids Soul.
