With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arneil Rheistein in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonty Delahide saved Nagambie from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Angus Coleman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonty Delahide was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Angus Coleman in the 11th minute of play forced Nagambie's goalkeeper Jonty Delahide to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Angus Coleman might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonty Delahide. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Angus Coleman ran back to his position shaking his head. Martyon Mcinnes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Jonty Delahide tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Nagambie's Al Marsland got a free kick in the 25th minute. The supporters of Nagambie booed when Chelsea Dream was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bryce Callaghan didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 34th minute, Clarke Chant made a precise shot to the right of Joshua Prince. Chelsea Dream's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Jared Kenack went to the cornerflag to take it. Angus Coleman struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Jonty Delahide didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chelsea Dream.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ollie Claringbold stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Nagambie's Al Marsland got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
