Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Bungunya's Barry Powell started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Barry Powell's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bray Caddick read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 4th minute of play. With a little luck, Bungunya's Danton Marsland got control of the ball when Edmund Smee tried to sneak it across the goal line. Newrybar were furious when Damon Ritter was red carded, 10 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 9th minute, one of Newrybar:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Newrybar. Henry Slattery fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bray Caddick having to interfere. If Drew Adamson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Newrybar's Bray Caddick played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henry Slattery in the 19th minute of play. Bungunya's Danton Marsland played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Drew Adamson in the 23rd minute of play. Bray Caddick showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Barry Powell, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. In the 31st minute, Drew Adamson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dagan Worrall fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Danton Marsland having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Drew Adamson to make the kick off. In the 54th minute, Barry Powell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Barry Sobezak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Bungunya's zone, Drew Adamson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Danton Marsland came out of the goal and Drew Adamson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Drew Adamson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Drew Adamson might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Danton Marsland. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Drew Adamson ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Drew Adamson in the 71st minute of play forced Bungunya's goalkeeper Danton Marsland to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Drew Adamson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Danton Marsland made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Drew Adamson in the 75th minute of play. 76 minutes into the match, Barry Sobezak had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Danton Marsland. Bungunya's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Barry Sobezak was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Drew Adamson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Danton Marsland having to make a save. Drew Adamson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Danton Marsland tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Drew Adamson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Danton Marsland showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Drew Adamson in the 85th minute of the match. Barry Sobezak's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Danton Marsland read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. Drew Adamson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Danton Marsland stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Drew Adamson's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. Newrybar walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
