In the 18th match minute, Achmids Soul was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bryce Fessey to maneuver through the defense. Brayden Kayrooz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rudolph Holdsworth in the 26th minute of play. Battle Hines received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Abbott Mudie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Japoon's Brayden Kayrooz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rudolph Holdsworth in the 31st minute of play. Achmids Soul's defense didn't have a chance, in the 35th minute, when Logan Ashby scored to the left of an out of position Abbott Mudie, making the score, 2-0. In the 43rd minute, Battle Hines ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Abbott Mudie was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Battle Hines made a kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Barnard Howard during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 55th match minute, Achmids Soul was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Barnard Howard to maneuver through the defense. After 57 played minutes Japoon got a freekick which was hit by Larry Mapps. If Kane Johnston had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Barnard Howard got his second yellow card in the match during the 66th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. A collision led to Achmids Soul getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Barnard Howard hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Iggi Duggan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Japoon's supporters rose to their feet, but Iggi Duggan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Abbott Mudie breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Achmids Soul's Abbott Mudie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Logan Ashby in the 76th minute of play. Damon Dollymore received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Abbott Mudie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 91st minute Logan Ashby shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abbott Mudie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Japoon had played much better football throughout.
