Martyon Howard stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Clarke Chant's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. 10 minutes into the match, Tigers United's goal looked a bit too open when Clarke Chant came free, but Martyon Howard reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 12th minute, Al Marsland hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Larkin Bowman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonty Delahide having to interfere. The supporters of Nagambie booed when Tigers United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matthew Isaac didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 18th minute, Jared Kenack sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Tigers United's Martyon Howard didn't even have to move. After 20 played minutes, Nagambie's Michael Lascelles shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Martyon Howard came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Nagambie reached it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ollie Claringbold in the 22nd minute of play forced Tigers United's goalkeeper Martyon Howard to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Larkin Bowman might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonty Delahide. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Larkin Bowman ran back to his position shaking his head. When the match had gone on for 35 minutes, Ollie Claringbold put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Martyon Howard. Ollie Claringbold blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Martyon Howard having to make a save. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Larkin Bowman to make the kick off. When Andy Smoothy came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Nagambie fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Andy Smoothy couldn't finish the play. Martyon Howard made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Clarke Chant sent off a good shot on target. Brand Hines sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 73 minutes, Larkin Bowman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tigers United and the Nagambie players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 89 minutes, Brand Hines made it 2-2 with a short kick to the right side. Nagambie's Jonty Delahide tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Brand Hines fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonty Delahide having to interfere. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
